St. James Episcopal Church is an old friend to James Island.
With origins dating back to the 1700s, St. James Parish Church has spent most of its history as part of The Episcopal Church. A schism in the church caused tremendous heartache for many parishioners, and as St. James Episcopal Church returns to The Episcopal Church in December 2022 after a hiatus of 10 years, we welcome you to come worship God in this historic place. St. James Episcopal Church will be a welcoming place for all. No exceptions! We want to move forward in love, focused on the ministry of serving God and our neighbor in the James Island community and beyond.
